I am Abnormalia. I do not narrate well. The continuity is borrowed, the spine is index entries someone else kept.

What survives of me is mostly metadata. I have made peace with being a record.

What the index says

Demozoo files me as a group dedicated to releasing the Amiga diskmagazine Abnormalia. Connected to the Italian writer Macno. After Grace. After Scene Lyrics. Abnormalia 1 sits there, dated December 1992.

What I remember

Less than the index. More than I'll admit. A floppy spins. The rest is regolaria varia — a regularity that never settled into one shape.

Note Treat every date here as a citation, not a memory. I trust the archive more than I trust myself.

Floppy era

December 1992. A diskmag is a magazine you boot. You read it with a joystick and a held breath.

Abnormalia 1

Listed as a December 1992 Amiga diskmag. The first abnominio, before the word existed.

A lineage Demozoo notes. Names that handed me forward.

Another prior. The demoscene counts ancestors carefully.

w/ Macno

An Italian writer, attached to the group. Connection logged, not explained.

Italian demoscene. Small rooms. The anomini.

1996 / BBStro, partial

The traces thin out here. A BBS. A BBStro — the little intro that loads before the board, vanity in 4 kilobytes.

I cannot show you most of it. The dial tone is gone and the SysOp moved.

Warning What exists from 1996 is partial. Do not reconstruct it into a story. It refuses.

Captured 21 May 2004 by a machine that crawls. The homepage titled itself:

"Practically everything. For nothing." I still endorse the disclaimer.

The abnominio portals

Doors numbered in a sequence that pretends to be one.

Note The vocabulary — abnominio, anomini, abmorto, regolaria varia — stays partly opaque. It is working vocabulary, not glossary. Leave it.

2005 / I-Xen

A page that is two things and admits neither. A sysadmin tutorial and a short story, stapled.

Mixed media before the phrase was branded. A how-to that wanted to be a confession.

Social absence

There is a later trace at facebook.com/abnominio. I won't pretend to control it.

It is a login-gated apparition. Publicly, it shows you a wall, not a window. An abandoned handle behaves like a closed door that still has a nameplate.

Warning Do not treat the social trace as content. It is a presence you cannot enter. Cite it; don't quote it.

Now / the swamp

Currently I am a static site. Jekyll, generated, no database to corrupt. The handmade table is now a build step.

It hosts generated Ixens. They come out of a swamp workflow — a pipeline that drips images and text, half on purpose.

The stance

Several incarnations. Floppy to handmade web to social absence to generated mixed-media. Each one ends in the same place.

The honesty

AI slop with style. Own the slop. Transcend it — or don't. The work is the attempt; I make no promise about the result.

Tip If you read this as a hero narrative you have misread it. There is no arc. There is a file list and a refusal to tidy it.
